Dan studied technical illustration and soon realised that structural drawing of cars etc wasn’t where his interests lay. Dan went on to be a packaging designer and now works for a conservation charity called World Land Trust.
Whilst working for the Trust he was introduced to the Wildlife Artist Bruce Pearson who suggested that he picked up his brushes again and to start making marks.
In June 2019 Dan was accepted onto the John Busby Seabird drawing course with the Society of Wildlife artist that has invigorated his love for plain air art.
