What’s Happening in Garboldisham?
Garboldisham is a thriving village situated in the centre of East Anglia, at the head of the Little Ouse River on the edge of the Brecks meandering through both the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. The Village Hall, as it should be, is the centre of village activities.
Regular events include Community Teas, Carpet bowls, Garboldisham History Group and Gardening Club meetings. Badminton, Dance, Bingo, Painting, Mindfulness Classes, Pilates, Karate, Zumba and Drama plus many other activities also take place.
The Village Hall is run for the benefit of all by a small commmittee of volunteer Trustees, headed up by Chairman, Martin Stockdale.
To maintain our wonderful village amenity and ensure it continues to remain fit for purpose, we run a number of fund-raising events throughout the year.
The Committee meets at 7pm in the Village Hall. Our next meeting is on Wed 28th August. Our meetings are open to anyone interested in hearing how we manage Hall facilities and raise funds to maintain the fabrics of the building. If you would like to help, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
